Project Objective

The project Ontoverse aims at developing a new, internet-based application for cooperative and interdisciplinary ontology building in terms of a so-called ontology-wiki. Supplied by grid-technology and regarding IT security measures, this solution will serve as a starting basis for cooperative knowledge management within life sciences and thus supports scientific institutions and professional users in confidential exchange, dialog and transfer of research results along the scientific value chain - from original research via information and communication up to publication. Thus Ontoverse  provides knowledge-on-demand, an essential factor for success in today's and future research challenges.
